The new store is owned by Rick Stepien and Rob Keller. Stepien originally considered medical school after earning degrees in zoology and neuroscience, but shifted to the business world. While working in sales, he met Keller, the CEO and President of a home enhancements company. Stepien worked closely with Keller, and ultimately became a multi-unit franchise owner with Keller’s home improvement franchise brand.

Keller brings over 28 years of sales and franchise knowledge to their new venture. He found that in his current role, he has limited opportunities to connect with the community, as his business focuses on a single product. Eager to foster community engagement and charitable initiatives, Keller teamed up with Stepien to find a business that aligned with their values—and Pet Supplies Plus was the perfect fit.

As community partners, Stepien and Keller plan to collaborate with local animal shelters, rescue organizations, and non-profits, hosting year-round adoption events, fundraisers, and pet food drives.
