Animal Rescue League of Iowa acquires two veterinary clinics in Des Moines

SOUL MILESTONE. THE ANIMAL RESCUE LEAGUE OF IOWA IS CONTINUING TO EXPAND WHAT SERVICES IT CAN PROVIDE. IT NOW OWNS TWO VETERINARY CLINICS, AND YOU CAN FIND BOTH OF THEM IN DES MOINES. THAT’S RIGHT, THE AHL OF IOWA SAYS THOSE CLINICS WILL OFFER LOW COST CARE FOR PETS, WHICH IS SOMETHING THEY SAY THE PREVIOUS CLINIC OWNERS REALLY WANTED TO SEE. CONTINUED. ONE LOCATION IS ON EAST 14TH, CALLED LOW COST SPAY CLINIC, THE OTHER ON SOUTHEAST 14TH. A FOUR DECORAH PET HOSPITAL. THEY WILL SOON BE RENAMED TO AHL AFFORDABLE CARE PET CLINIC EAST AND SOUTH. THE AHL CEO TOM COLVIN TELLS US CLIENTS WHO CURRENTLY GO TO THOSE SPOTS WON’T SEE MANY CHANGES AT ALL, OTHER THAN NEW SIGNAGE. COMMUNITY VACCINE CLINICS, SPAY AND NEUTERING EFFORTS AND MORE WILL BE PROVIDED. THE AHL SAYS ACQUIRING THESE TWO CLINICS REALLY HELPS WITH THE NONPROFIT’S GOAL. OUR MISSION IS TRYING TO KEEP PETS IN THEIR OWN HOMES, AND ONE OF THE WAYS TO DO THAT IS TO MAKE SURE THAT PEOPLE ARE ABLE TO AFFORD VETERINARY CARE. Those locations are the ARL Afford-A-Care Pet Clinic – East, formerly the Low Cost Spay Clinic on East 14th Street, and ARL Afford-A-Care Pet Clinic – South, formerly Afford-A-Care Pet Hospital on Southeast 14th Street.
