Owners Amy and Conrad Manlapaz, along with General Manager Danielle Hernandez, have organized several local events to introduce their business to the community.

Experienced Team Brings Personalized Pet Care to Annapolis

Amy, a former healthcare advisor and nurse, and Conrad, a retired federal police officer, bring their passion for animals to the Woofie’s franchise, alongside Danielle Hernandez, who has over 15 years of experience in sales and operations in the pet industry. Woofie’s of Annapolis offers services such as mobile pet grooming, dog walking, and both daytime and overnight pet sitting. Additionally, they provide 24/7 vet telehealth support through a partnership with Pet Vet Connection, catering to a variety of pets including dogs, cats, parrots, and turtles.

“After many years in healthcare, we’ve seen the joy pets bring into people’s lives,” said Amy Manlapaz. “We wanted to create a business that delivers high-quality pet services, helping others experience the same positive impact pets have on well-being. We’re excited to connect with the local community and their pets at our grand opening events.”

Upcoming Community Events

Woofie’s of Annapolis is participating in several local events to introduce their services and engage with the community:

  • Barktoberfest: On Saturday, October 5, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 1906 Towne Centre Boulevard, Annapolis, Woofie’s of Annapolis will join this pet-friendly festival, offering free nail trims, ear cleanings, and teeth brushing. The team will judge the popular dog fashion and costume show and provide giveaways, including dog treat balls and food scoopers. Attendees can also participate in a free raffle for pet care services, sample dog jerky and fresh food from The Farmer’s Dog, and sign up for a free week of food.
  • K9 Run: Supporting local First Responder K9 Units, Woofie’s of Annapolis will showcase its mobile spa van at this event, offering Wash ‘n Go baths and Paw Pad treatments, with proceeds benefiting the Chesapeake K9 Fund. A raffle for a gift certificate redeemable for pet sitting or grooming services will also be held. This cause is especially important to the Manlapaz family, as co-owner Conrad is a former federal police officer.
  • Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies: Woofie’s of Annapolis will host ribbon-cutting events with the Anne Arundel and Severna Park/Arnold Chambers of Commerce to formally mark their opening.
