GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Lovet Pet Health Care recently announced the grand opening of its fourth West Michigan clinic at 1935 Breton Road SE in Grand Rapids.
Since opening its first West Michigan hospital in April at 4290 Lake Michigan Drive NW in Standale, Lovet veterinarians have already cared for more than 2,200 pets and welcomed 1,900 new pet owners.
The Arizona-based vet clinic opened two other hospitals at 3500 Alpine Ave NW in Walker and at 2135 E Beltline Ave NE in Grand Rapids since mid-October.
“Grand Rapids has quickly become one of Lovet’s most vibrant and fast-growing markets,” said Courtney Gruber, President at Lovet Pet Health Care.
Around 86% of pet owners across the country, and 87% in Michigan, said having a pet has a positive impact on their mental and emotional well-being, according to Lovet’s 2025 Checkup Report.
The report also found that 44% of Michigan pet owners said they have delayed or skipped care due to rising costs. Lovet’s model is designed to overcome the financial barrier to treatment through several cost-saving offerings.
“That deep connection is exactly why we’re continuing to expand here: to make high-quality, compassionate veterinary care easier to access for every pet-loving family in West Michigan,” Gruber said.
In addition to all Lovet clients getting a free first exam, cost-saving solutions include:
- Lovet Pay — a program that provides a range of options for pet owners to pay for care over time, including interest-free options, same-day financing and 99% approval rates.
- Lovet Essentials — a care package for cats and dogs that includes all core vaccines, two nail trims, a full blood panel, a fecal exam and your choice of a dental cleaning or spay/neuter surgery — all for $99 a month. It also comes with unlimited exams and 10% off prescriptions, retail and more.
- Same-day appointments and weekend hours.
- Easy scheduling through the MyLovet mobile app or web portal.
Lovet is actively hiring veterinarians, veterinary technicians and support staff across all four West Michigan locations, creating opportunities for approximately 50 local jobs. People can apply at careers.lovet.com.
As part of its community outreach, Lovet partnered with the Humane Society of West Michigan as the pet first aid tent sponsor at the Humane Hustle 5K & Walk earlier this month.
The event encouraged pet owners to build their own first aid kits — supporting Lovet’s mission to make pet care education, preparedness and access more approachable for West Michigan families.
Lovet Pet Health Care, formerly AZPetVet, began as a network of 23 animal hospitals in and around Phoenix, Ariz., and has grown to include locations in Chicago and now Grand Rapids.
