The Dance of Death - The Film !
" It was as a teenager I was first introduced to the exploitation of bulls and horses in bullrings around the world. However it was not until the mid 1970's, after I was introduced to a wonderful man, Freddy Weirs (Founder of International Council Against Bullfighting UK), that I developed a passion and need to 'educate the world' about the real facts about bullfighting and the misleading way it is presented to the tourists as 'entertainment' or 'art' !
It is, as you will learn, nothing but a cowardly slow and sadistic torturing to death of an animal.! Within a few short months, I became Canadian / US representative of ICaB and started to work via the media, aiming the campaign towards educating tourists ! It was always the aim of Freddy to make a film which exposed the bullfight for what it really is, and in 1981 we did just that. Thanks to a dear friend, and film photographer, we were able to capture scenes from the opening festivals in Madrid and with his precious time, music, editing and the narration donated, our film THE DANCE OF DEATH was born " Mary Alice Pollard (nee Petch-Mashinter)

The racing press wants nothing to do with the book so I am having a hard time getting it out there. I believe there is strength in numbers and am hoping we can help each other. The title is “The Tradition of Cheating at the Sport of Kings” the website is www.sportofkingsbook.com There is a chapter in the book about the horse from Ireland, George Washington, he should have been scratched the day of the Breeders Cup.
I am donating a portion of proceeds to retired horses. I am trying to make a difference and be a voice for the horses. It is time to bring back Sportsmanship and Horsemanship to racing. "
