She's calm when the going gets tough,
She talks sense when reason isn't enough
And she hugs when there's nothing else left.
A good friend thinks far better of you
Than you'd ever believe of yourself
She'll stand by you, beside you, quietly patient,
And she'll laugh while you let it all out!
A good friend knows when you're down, maybe out...
You don't have to spell it for her,
It's there in her eyes, in that motherly frown
She's the one who senses the hurt.
A good friend isn't the face in the crowd
She isn't always the woman next door
She's the person you connect with and feel the connection -
The friendship that friends were made for :)
